Every site in this category says it tested twenty jackets. We have tested none, and we say so.
What we do instead is arithmetic, on numbers the manufacturers publish themselves. A battery’s energy is its capacity times its voltage. Its runtime is that energy divided by the watts the garment draws. Makers publish the first half and almost never the second, then advertise the lowest setting’s hours as the headline.
So we run it backwards. A maker that advertises “up to 10 hours” on a 37.6 watt-hour pack has told you its claim assumes a 3.8-watt draw — whether it meant to or not. Put that next to the same pack’s published 18.5-watt delivery ceiling and the shape of the advertising becomes obvious.
Nine competitors were fetched while researching this site. Not one publishes that conversion. It needs no lab, no owned units and no credential — only a calculator and a willingness to show the working. Here is ours.

We never claim to have worn it
No owned units, no lab, no drain tests, no field use. Every product page says so before it says anything else, because you deserve to know how much weight to give us before you read the verdict.
Every number traces to a source
Capacity and voltage come from the manufacturer's own pages and are linked on every card. Where a maker publishes nothing, the cell reads “not derivable” rather than carrying a plausible-looking guess.
Prices are live or absent
No remembered numbers, ever. The live feed has no prices right now, so every button reads “Check price” instead of showing one.
Every roundup names something to skip
A list that recommends everything on it is not a recommendation. If we cannot find a reason not to buy something, we have not finished looking.
